Are you taking any Ativan, Xanax, temazepam, ambien, ambien CR, kolonapin, valium, sonata, etc.. for insomnia and anxiety? If the answer is yes, how long have you been taking them. If the time period is over 2 to 4 weeks you need to stop taking the above listed drug. Not all at once. You will to do a very slow taper over a period of many months. I had those same symptoms and it was do to benzodiazepine drugs and Z-drugs (Ambien, Sonata and Lunesta)
Hello and thank you for the reply :)
When i do not eat well it seems to happen more often.
It really does sound like low blood sugar from not eating. I've had this happen before, not as bad as you did though. When I don't eat and my sugar gets really low I feel weak, dizzy and just out of it. Try to take some snacks to work with you and eat something about every 2 hours or so.
Yes, you could have also been been scared and had some anxiety. Try not to worry too much that this will happen again. Get in to see your Dr for a blood glucose test. It will let you know if you have hypoglycemia. If that's what it is the cure is to eat on a regular basis to keep your sugar up.
Hey, thanks for replying... Yeah that is what im sure they will say and im not to keen on being dependent on pills. I will take your advice and see how it goes.
I get these feelings also blurred vision dizzyness and weird sensations, had every test in the book only for them to say it's all anxiety and tried to put me on anyone depressents. I never took a pill went to see a natropath and iridoligist who has helped me immensly. Good luck . Drs is a good place to start but remember taking a pill only fixes the hole in the wall not the leak from the ceiling.
Thanks for your reply.. I had a blood test done a couple months back and turned out fine. Maybe i should just try eat more often :)
For me I get that kind of feeling when I haven't eaten a lot that day. I understand what you mean, because it's a real weird feeling.
Just be careful and check your blood sugar often.
If you go to see the doctor they can check for diabetes and other disorders. Sometimes this might indicate a thyroid problem.
Definately see your family doctor and a specialist if they refer you.
Good Luck
The nurse that came in the ambulance did checks on my heart and blood sugar etc and said there is no need for it, i should go eat because sugar was low and she said i just should take care of myself.
Thank you for answering :)
ooooops. forgot the most important thing: yes---go see the dr.-----if only to satisfy my curiosity. Yep! Go now. I get so impatient.......HA!
Ok? See Doc?
om
shufee i have experienced very similar spells but i am on medication and sometimes----rarely---- as it is beginning i "catch" it with my anxiety tool-kit! Several things i do----that i have practiced every day----to try and evoke a relaxation response are in that kit. Each "kit" i am sure will be individual---tailored to you, And you tailor----or condition it yourself. You pick. Do the research---or just wait and folks will be posting their experience and some things to try for sure. This is a good place to get your answers., Just have a little patience. Ok----nice gentle but full breath when ya remember---with slow relaxed ahhhhhh exhale. Cain't hurt. Good luck shufee---omhome
You cannot assume that everything is anxiety. So it sounds like you had some kind of medical work up. Did you go to the ER that day? What were you told?
Actually i was on an empty stomach and the nurse took my blood and said my sugar level was 4 or something like that. I should go see a doctor but i dont know.. Sometimes it can happen when i think about it too much, so i am guessing it has something to do with anxiety, its just weird no one has experienced it before
dehydration a possible----sugar or caffeine w/empty stomach? Look for some variable that you just began or that appeared or........? Hey---could be serious-- oh yes see dr. now......and could be a simple solution. Let us know---i am curious what dr. says. om
Hello,
Thank you for answering :)
I do not take any medication at all.
Please see your doctor about this as soon as you can. He will be able to help you get the help you need, if he cannot do so himself. Blessings - Blu
