Why cant this worry feeling go away?

I've had GAD for  2 months.. keep getting it on and off..
It always stops for about 2-3weeks, then starts again..
And during those weeks.. I don't have any panic attacks or anxiety symptoms, BUT....
This worry feeling never goes away! How can this worry feeling go away??
I really have a difficult time to not worry..but idk why my brain tends to think negatively and keeps worrying about ''having another panic attack''
Actually..I'm fine..100% fine.. but I worry to get another anxiety attack ..
Idk why but I'm traumatic to anxiety attack.. i don't want it to happen again..so the more I think about it.. the worse i become..
Can any1 give me any good advice?
And btw my doctor prescribed me a medicine that I have to take for a month
He says it's safe, not addictive, no withdrawal symptoms..but I forgot the name (my mom has the prescription) I think it's called Flux something...or idk..
I forced myself not to take Xanax anymore..coz I used to take it for 4 days and I just stopped

As you have stated, the more you think about it, the more worried you become, and BAM!  the ATTACK!  Yes, it is a vicious cycle.  The only way to beat it is to keep yourself busy and to divert you attention to anything else that you can.  it takes a lot of work and a lot of time...but in time, you will be able to not "worry" about the attacks and when they do come, just continue on without it freaking you out.  I know how scary it is, but remember, it is not dangerous not can it hurt you.  Keep reminding yourself of that and take it SLOW......
