What is going on?!!

Well here goes...
I'm 22 y/o.I've had anxiety problems over the last two years(not that severe though).however, over the last month or so I started having these strange restless feelings in my body.I'm actually having a tough time describing it to people!itchy, creepy crawly, tingling would all probably be the right words.but the strange thing is that it mostly is on the right side of my body i.e the right arm,leg and foot.i keep adjusting my shirt from the right side due to the irritation!sometimes it gets so overwhelming that I start shaking my hand violently.all this comes and goes over rime, just like panic attacks.

Another strange thing that's happening is that I get extremely sensitive to certain sounds during this 'attack'.certain sounds just completely make me crazy.it only happens during the attack!when I'm calm I don't have any problem.

Now my question is the typical one:is it all anxiety or something else is wrong with me?!now the last two months have been very stressful and I've been very depressed.I haven't taken any medication or any therapy during this time.haven't disclosed this to anyone as well.so my guess is that it's all starting to explode inside.basically my body is telling me to do something!!

Other typical symptoms include lump in throat, shortness of breath and change in eating habits.

HELP anyone!!

I have to agree...do not be ashamed or feel bad about this.  Actually, you should give yourself credit for wanting to confront and deal with this.  It takes a lot of courage and fortitude to face any challenge that is put in your way, and there are literally millions of people that have successfully been through this.  Quite often I feel that we experience many of these feelings because at first it is a very lonely experience and I tended to believe that I was alone in experiencing this, when in fact people go through this at some point in their lives...getting help is the smartest step you can take in my opinion.

As an LPC who treats anxiety I can say that I really think you need to go see a psychotherapist or you doctor and talk about taking your medications for anxiety again.  I do not know if the tingling is anxiety related as it could be, but I do know your reaction to it is anxiety related.  You really are not abnormal...just someone experiencing physical symptoms and you are worried about it.  But because you already have anxiety issues it is exacerbating that to a significant degree.  Don't be ashamed or scared...simply go seek the help from the professionals that you need to.  They can run some tests to rule out medical conditions and help you with your anxiety.  No one is going to think you are crazy...that is the anxiety talking.  And people like me  and doctors...we are not shocked by anything.  We all see the worse of the worse and you can be O.K....just seek the help you need.

I am sorry that you are going through this right now.  Why not go to your doctor and get checked out first, but what you are descrbing fits many peoples' intial experiences with panic and anxiety. You also sad that you have had a stressful couple of months, which can really exacerbate anxiety symptoms in my opinion.  Initially, it can definitely be scary and confusing when this happens, but the good thing is you can deal with it effectively in my opinion.   Remember, there are literally countless 'symptoms' you will feel with anxiety and it can be hard to get a hold of, but you can and you will.  Do you have access to counseling?  For me, just learning about it and realizing how common it actually was gave me the piece of mind to confront it.   Keep us posted!
