Xanax - Cold Turkey

From what I have been reading this topic is geered toward Supoxone patients (for which I am.)  My doctor has no choice but to put my on 3 - 6mg's of xanax a day, along with 1 8mg suboxne in the AM and 1 8mg suboxone at bedtime.
Now I know that eventually I have to kick that, but right now It's the xanax bars that are killing me.  I lost my doctor and no other doctors are williams to prescribe me xanax anymore.  Is this dangerous??  I have been taking the xanax bars for the past 3 years.  I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW SICK I AM.  Hallucinations, I feel like I am outside of my body.  The worst thing is whenever I ly down I feel as though I am getting schocked.  Is this some kind of seizure??  They are getting worse.  My last dose was about 48 hours ago.  
Please respond back ASAP, as I think I am loing my mind.

You were on one hell of a dose of Xanax for a very long time...........your doctor should have his license revoked for refusing to refill your script and help you do a safe taper. A cold turkey w/d from that level of Xanax is dangerous. I don't want to scare you, but if you have reached the point of having hallucinations, please call a friend and have them take you to the ER as soon as possible. You could possibly begin having seizures. You need medical help! You need medication to stop the nightmare you're in. PLEASE go to the ER! While you are there, have them recommend a doctor who will help you get off them SAFELY!!!!

Calm down, look to the future when you will be better... I've been there/am there now. You remember the life before the benzo's and feel like you are now doomed!!!  I took higher doses than you and survived. You feel like you are going to die but you are not. You body is full of electricity and nothing could feel worse.  You NEED to do a slow tapper, you are furthering the damage to your body and brain. The good news is a slow tapper will eleviate the suffering and you can get off over a slow period of time. The law is a doctor must help someone in withdrawals, but you will find that a tapper from most doctor's to be brutal. Find a doctor and do your own slow tapper.  Anything is better than what you are doing now.  Tell him that you will go on an SSRi if that's what it takes to get help with getting  off benzo's. Psychiatrist's love antiphychotics and SSRI's, take the script and don't fill it, then everybody's happy. There are forums for people who need help with benzo withdrawals.  Look up the word benzodiazepines.  See benzo.uk.org (Ashton manual) pm me if you want.

In time you will heal and you will become a benzo basher too!!!

Well what you need to do is find some doctor elsewhere rather than PA take a drive there!  Jersey, New York which you shound't be oto far from.  Be strong you will find an answer

  No doctors in my area of PA. are willing to help some who in only a benzos.  My latest doctor told me to "suck it aup" and it will be over in no time.  
  I don't want to put a dark cloud over everyone, but I now know that I'm not going to make it.  I can't stop yawning and my eyes all fill up with water.  I am so sore that I cannot even take the garbage
  The time has come to say goodbye to all of you.  I can no longer live like this, and yes I know it's my own fault.  Time to suffer the consiquences.  I just hop god will accept me for who I used to be.

Honestly you should not doing anything cold turkey!  I have tried it and it was a nightmare and is totally unsafe for your body.  You need to find a doctor asap who is willing to help you out they have to help u taper off of this!  Your not having any seizures it is just your body going through withdrawals!  Trust me I know I been there :(
Please find a doctor to help you out and explain the situation tell them you want to maybe even switch to a lower dosage, but def. need to be tapered.
