I've read some of your posts, it sounds like you have had such a struggle. It must be even harder when the meds don't work the way we hope.
I'm glad the xanax is helping you. Hopefully, now that you're starting to feel better, you'll feel more confident reaching out for other resources to help you learn and manage the anxiety. It's important to get that help when we feel good so that when we have bad days - and everyone does - we've got that good foundation and plan to help us.
Good luck!
Thank you so much for your help.My doc prescribet Mirtazapine(remeron) and Risperidone but said you can take xanax as you need.So my desicion is to stay on Mirtazapine and Xanax because Risperidone its an anti psychotic to treat schitzophrenia, and my diagnose is Panic anxiety diaorder so I think these two meds are good to treat my anxiety.I stop Risperidone because after about three weeks of taking it,it just made me feel sucidal.I'm
feeling quite after I took xanax so I won't stop taking it.I
rode so many posts of people that xanax has saved their
lives in their bad anxiety. So I hope I will feel forever this
way.I don't want to hate life or suicide.I just want to have my life back.
You know what? You chose to getting help - that's huge and brave - good for you!
Xanax was very helpful for me as part of a plan to manage my anxiety. It's only 1 piece of the plan, though - I know you've gotten some good recommendations about therapy. Xanax helped me calm down so I could get to a place where I could focus in therapy. The med helped a lot, but the therapy helped me more. Learning what my triggers are and how I can manage them on my end has been critical as part of a whole treatment plan for my anxiety.
I'm glad you're feeling better! Stay in touch with your doctor about the xanax and your symptoms. Best wishes!
