Xanax versus Klonopin for my severe anxiety

I am presently on Xanax 2mg bars 4-6 times daily, & have been for 15 years. I have some 1mg Klonopin now, will that relieve my anxiety as well as Xanax?

Your taking the whole 2mg bar 4 to 6 times a day? That would be 8 to 12 mgs which is way too much. You should talk to your Dr about tapering Xanax while your adding Klonopin. It's going to be a slow process since your taking so much and for so long. Remar

I have been on Xanax for the past 5 years, three times a day, and when I take it my anxiety is wonderful. I just hate the fact that when I don't take it well try not to take it I feel horrible, the anxiety is just annoying. I had started working out to try and get my mind off of everything and that was starting to work a little but then I had that seizure 2 weeks ago and now I am freaked that it might happen again when I am exercising so havent been doing that. I just starting taking Klonopin about a month ago to see if that would help better but it only made me very tired which ended up working out great for my sleeping problems becuase everything else I had tried to take to help me sleep did not work and this does. I wish my doctor would prescribe me a stronger dose of Xanax so I wouldnt have to take it 3 times a day. I only take 0.5 mg. How did you get your doctor to up your script. I also take Symbrax to help with the panic attacks and now as I am getting older and have so many other issues to deal with, it also suppose to help with depression but I dont really see how that works that great for the depression part. People who dont have anxiety issues have no clue. Thanks for letting me vent,
