YES!!!!! Yes you WILL! Now, THAT'S the kind of affirmation you need to start repeating, telling yourself daily, several times a day that you will get through this.
I'm so happy to see this kind of statement from you! Good job!
Thank you for your posts. I found you very informative and helpful in helping get thought this. I am also a nurse for 40 years and I can't believe this happen to me. With you and my other supports I will get though this. Thanks again.
What is your doctor saying about the Xanax?
If your anxiety is very very high when you take it, it will not be as effective. That's why in the case of using it as needed for a panic attack, it's best to take it before the panic attack gets severe.
Ty for your post. I found .25 mg of xanax helps me a little when taken at bed time but during the day it sometimes doesn't help. Have you found that your need more during the day?
It's normal to need a higher dose (or more frequent doing) during the adjustment phase. Whatever you do, make sure your doc is on board before you make any changes. You don't want to change your medication without your doc's okay. If you do that, what can happen is that you will run out early, which will leave you in a precarious position.
Talk to your doctor.
When I first started taking Zoloft, I was also living on Xanex, I was taking anywhere from 3-4 mg per day for a almost a year, then one day I realized I no longer needed it on a daily basis and just stopped taking it. I would need it here and there but nothing like I did at the start of taking Zoloft. You really have to to do what your body and brain tell you to do and it does take time to find the right dose of Zoloft.
You would need to be on Xanax for many weeks before you had any risk of becoming dependent.
