I forgot to mention that I am on 100 mg of beta blockers to help with my extremely high heart rate( due to anxiety) been to cardiologists and had a million tests done and there is not one thing wrong with my heart. They also help with the palpitations. I have an immense fear of my heart failing for some reason.

I have the SAME EXACT PROBLEMS!!!! I had a MRI done today because my doctors think I may have Multiple sclerosis because I have had numbness in just about every part of my body, hot/cold sensations and muscle jerks among many others. Needless to say I have a severe anxiety disorder, and I almost died of panic when I found out I could have a disease, but when I calm myself down I know that it is all related to panic because the mind can play some scary trick on you.

No more tests. You have a clean bill of health. Just sort the thinking side of things out now. Then you will be 100%.

Thanks for all your input...Are there any other tests I should get or have I covered it all? I know if I just accepted it which I do most of the time..but then I get into a slump and the cycle starts again!!

i go through the same things with my anxiety. see a psychyatrist for maybe some medicine to get you through, try therapy too, to get things off your chest. rely on supportive friends and family members. you are not alone and have ruled out the physical so you need to deal with the mental aspect of your condition. it's not the end of the world, it can be treated so hang in there.

If you were to ask do these fall under the symptoms of anxiety the answer would be yes. They do. Anxiety has a million and one symptoms. When it first kicks in we don't really want to believe it only anxiety related. We want to think it is something far worse. We are just trying to make sense of the whole thing in our minds. And our mind is telling us that something like anxiety couldn't bring about these symptoms we are feeling. Fact is we are lost in understanding why it has hit us. Recalling my first brush with anxiet, I do remember keeping hush hush. Telling nobody at all. Not knowing what was going on. I was fearing I was well losing it. Biggest fear of all. A mental condition. Just sounds bad to the ear. The word ' Mental '. There will always be a stigma attached to the word. But the sooner we accept that that is all it is, the sooner we can begin on working to make ourselves better. I would accept the results of the tests. Be happy that I have not got something far worse wrong with me. Then get help for the anxiety. Kind of amazing in a way to think that we want it to be something far worse. Not just a condition of the mind. Just be greatful it is not something far worse instead. Understand there is help out there. Then start taken the pathway to recovery. Though after 8 years I don't think I have to tell you all or any of this. You are an old pro by now. Should be well used to what anxiety can do to the body and how the mind works. Just hope you can find it in yourself to make changes and get someway better.
