Insominia?

As a symptom of anxiety - do you deal with Insominia?  I have NEVER had this problem and in the last month or two it has happened twice.  Both times my mind was racing with thoughts but I otherwise felt normal.  I was not tired at all and my mind was fully awake.  After laying in bed for about 2 hours, I did start to feel a little anxious because I was so frustrated with still be awake at 3:30am.  I took 1/2 xanax to calm down some and I guess it worked because I fell asleep soon after.  I hope this is not something else I need to worry about now.  I wasnt able to go to work today because of it.

I'd say not to worry too much about it, I sometimes can't get to sleep because of my anxiety, but some personal tips of mine that have helped me in the past and still do is to not force yourself to sleep, leave the TV on (with the sleep timer on..) and just watch it no matter what's on, and you'll fall asleep eventually. The more boring and uninteresting the program on the TV is, the better as it'll make you drop off :)
