Hello.
I'm not sure if I understand what your question is, but I take it that you still feel depressed and anxious despite the meds you've been taking for two months and want to know what you can do next?

Medication don't really cure anything but can be of great help. The only thing that can cure anxiety is mental and emotional work (i.e psychotherapy). The nature of anxiety is that it tends to grow bigger with time. It needs to be addressed and understood before it takes the better part of you. I see that you're still very young and therefore the odds are all on your side to beat this.
If you're financially able to see a trained psychologist and start working on your problems I would strongly recommend that route. You might need your medications to be better tailored as well, but if I were you I wouldn't really place my bets on meds alone.

Best regards,
Nora

What you are experiencing are all pretty classic symptoms of anxiety and depression.
You say you've been on these meds for two months but don't seem to be getting any relief. I think it's time to see your doctor again and discuss either a dosage increase or other meds. Are you still only taking 0.5mg of Klonopin? That is a small dose and it needs to be taken at least twice a day.
I don't know much about Pristiq, but it may not be the drug of choice for YOU. We are all so different in how we react to medications. And sometimes we must try several before we find the one that works best for us. This will be something you and your doctor must talk about as it is not our place to recommend one medication over another.
Since it has been two months and your quality of life seems to be getting worse rather than better, I would definitely schedule and appointment with your doctor to discuss these issues. And IF he/she is only dosing you once a day with the Klonopin, I would certainly question them on that. Do a search here for Ryan's posts on Klonopin or call your pharmacist and get the facts regarding proper dosing so you willl have the knowledge to bring to your doctor who may have no idea how to dose these types of meds. Sadly, most of them have no business prescribing these in the first place!
Please see your doctor and let us know what they say, OK? And know that we're always here.
Peace

Hello there,

I'm not a doctor but you are maybe suffering from a depression and anxiety is common with people suffering from depression. Crying and the fear of going crazy are good indicators in someone depressed which indicates a lack of serotonin. I think you already saw a doctor for all this since you are taking Klonopin which is used to treat anxiety and Pristiq  which is used to treat depression.

It is normal to be feeling like this when starting the treatment. May i ask you how long you have been taking those meds? It can take up to 1 months before you can see the benefits. Also if you are starting the treatment it is normal to feel weird the first week or two and if you really see no improvement after several weeks maybe you can try another serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor ( SNRI ) like Cymbalta, you can talk about this med to you doctor if he is not aware of it. Studies are telling Lexapro ( Escitalopram ) and Cymbalta ( Duloxetine ) are the in the top of the list for anxiety and depression.

So if you are starting your treatment with Pristiq give it some time to take effect and if really you see no improvement or you thing it's getting worse you might talk with your doctor about the suggestions of Cymbalata ( if you want to stay in the same class of anti-depressant ) or Lexapro ( if you want to try a different class of anti-depressant which may or may not work best for you ). You can also look into Tricyclic anti-depressants if all else fails. Those are all issues you have to talk about with you doctor since i'm not a doctor and i'm only giving you friendly advices.

Along with the meds you can also try physical activity. Maybe get a subscription to a gym and do some workout, it will make you body produce a lot of hormones ( 8 good hormones for you ). One of them is the  endorphins. They create a feeling of euphoria (the exercise high), and reduces tension and anxiety. Also estrogen gained from physical activity is known to elevate your mood.

Also i recommend a healthy diet to go along with the physical activity. It is all things that you may need to work if you want to improve your condition along with the medication treatment. The human body is designed to move and eat what the earth have to offer ( prioritize bio food ).

I'm not a docor and you should consult you doctor first, all i'm doing here is giving you advices that reflects my own opinion and knowledge.

Best of luck,
M4
