anxiety while pregnant

I am 10 weeks pregnant and I gradually came off my anxiety medication. I was fine at first but I am starting to have panic attacks now.  I am trying to do with out it but I am not sleeping and I sometimes have these unreasonable thoughts that i just dwell on and that sends me into one of my panic attacks. I was wanting to know should I talk to my doctor about this?

im 27 weeks pregnant and i had problems too, when i found out i was pregnant i took myself of 60mgs of prozac and 3mgs of klonopin daily.... then the panic set in,.... badly.
i started back up on klonopin at 1mg a day and that helped alot, and the pros outweigh the cons because a stressful freaking out pregnant lady has a better chance for complications and miscarriages. talk to your doctor, your ob. sometimes the meds are better to stay on depending on your situation, and certain ones are harmful only through the first trimester, or not at all! good luck to you!

Yes do talk to your doctor about it it cant hurt right. the other advice I have for you is if at all possible try to avoid getting back on the medication until your done being pregnant. there are some things they can give you but there not necessarily safe for your baby because there hasn't been enough research on the medications to be for sure. I know all of this because I'm eight months pregnant and I have severe anxiety. anyways I suggest talking to your doc and maybe seeing a therapist. good luck and I hope you can work through it

Hi Emily,

I would say go to your doctor and talk things through with them. It can't hurt and at least then you will probably have the option of meds if that is what is best for you.

Pregnancy is a stressful time with so much to worry about that I think that even the most chilled of people suffer anxieties at this time.

Good luck
Sam
