anxiety

I've had problems sleeping for years and have had job related stress adding up over the past 3 years.  I have start experiencing anxiety/panic/jittery feelings.  I have been off work for a month trying to seek therapy.  I've been taking 75mgs of trazodone for 2 weeks, but haven't felt a change in m daily jittery/nervous feelings.  It has help with sleep.  Am I on the right course with trazodone?

I find that Lexapro helps me with my anxiety, jittery feelings. However, I find that I only need 10mg of it rather than what the doctor recommends, and taking a bigger does mess up your memory.  If you know of a better medicine let me know :)

The B Complex Vitamins and Magnesium are essential to handling stress smoothly.

If the trazodone isn't helping, ask your doctor about generic remeron. No jittery, anxiety with the smallest dosage for most people.

I too take trazadone and find it works well for sleep too.  I don't think it does much for my anxiety.  You may want to give it 2 more weeks or so to allow it to reach full effectiveness. Otherwise you might want to discuss this further with your doctor.  Perhaps adding a medication for anxiety or a different antidepressant to the mix may benefit you.
