i hate anxiety!

i hate anxiety! the first time i experienced it was 2005...racy heart....so of course i was worried.......went to dr......he did thyroid check..it was fine.........then scheduled ekg........it showed i had a heart attack ..age undertermined...i was 29 at the time....so i went to hospital....they did the full workup..echo...blood work..xray....everything was fine! why it said i had that....i dont know....then i wore a heart monitor for 48 hours..had stress test..nuclear...everything fine again! dr told me that the ekg is just my makeup....all the other tests came out fine...no heart attack...nothing...so fast forward to now...have i had a few anxiety attacks since..sure...i can probably count on my one hand how many...and the last time i took an ativan was probably 2.5-3 yrs ago...never on meds.....didnt need them....just felt better having the ativan with me..in case....i just had a baby 2 months ago...my second...i was very worked up bcuz i had a scheduled csection.....and nervous...didnt know what to expect...he turned breech..so had too...i didnt experience anxiety at all.....now 2.5 months later and im having it....why??????????? why now? is it hormones? im about 5 days away from period....im scared...nervous...think stupid thoughts that dont want to have heart attack etc............my bp is great..about 110/65 average....had another echo in oct 2009..just because.sister worked for cardiologist.....it was fine....ekg same though....so why now? the mind can be so scary at times!

thank you...im not reluctant to seek help...i just have been able to deal with it..once i figured out what it was.....its just so very annoying....i read about something..like a health matter...and it kicks in.....i hate it....i wish my mind didnt work that way! thanks for your support...my boys...10 and 2 months...give great hugs....and it helps....

Yes, it's probably stress/anxiety.  Having a baby is quite stessful on any women. Undergoing a c section and all that goes with that, hormones, the whole 9 yards, makes me wonder why every women doesn't need help with sress and anxiety after childbirth. I needed it after the birth of my 2 children and my wife could've used some extra help!  :-)
It sounds like you've experienced anxiety for some time and coped with it without help.
Don't be reluctant to seek help if you need it, and take it from me, years of stress takes it's toll on the body even with treatment.  
Congrats on the little one.  Enjoy them now and when you get anxious hug them for the gift that they are.
