First, have you seen a doctor about your anxiety/panic attacks? Are you being treated for it with therapy/medication, none, both?

Now you have a very bad sinus infection. I can relate, as I get really horrible sinus infections just about every winter. A bad sinus infection can, and often does, cause dizziness, mild confusion, terrible headaches, ear problems, lymph nodes can swell in your neck and under your ears, there is extremely painful pressure when you bend forward, you feel like you're trapped in some weird head bubble filled with fog. They are quite nasty infections and are not easy to live with. When the sinuses get infected, they swell, which often feels like we need to desperately blow our noses, but nothing comes out because muscus is not the problem, it's the swelling. The swelling puts a great deal of pressure on the ears and eyes, which is why we often feel dizzy. Bending forward, then standing upright has nearly caused me to black out from the dizziness. And it hurts like the dickens. Fever often goes along with sinus infections and these can also cause a feeling of dizziness and confusion if they get fairly high. Sinus infections often travel to the throat and lungs, so they are nothing to fool around with. Often it takes more than one round of very powerful antibiotics to clear a sinus infection because our sinuses are the perfect breeding ground for the bacteria. It's dark, warm and moist........bacterial paradise!

You've been to the doctor, but you tell us that all they say is "let's treat your sinus infection." Did you talk to them about "not feeling normal" and why you're having so much trouble with your anxiety? Does he even know about your anxiety? I'm sure he would have addressed your concerns if he'd known, but doctor's can't read minds.

I think it's very possible your sinus infection is what is making you feel less than normal. But it's also possible it's your anxiety. Or a combination. I doubt it's your sinus infection that has suddenly caused a flare in your anxiety.

If you continue to feel dizzy and confused while on the antibiotics, call your doctor and let him know how you're feeling.........he may want you to come in for further testing or treatment. Be sure to take the next opportunity you have to speak to him about your anxiety issues and get referred to a therapist. You have anxiety for a reason and the only way it's ever going to go away is if you confront it and deal with it.

I wish you the best
Peace
