Thanks for answering this Lyd; I was looking forward to your response....
I had "noiseys" same sx about 3 years.  It was a combo of sheer fatigue/insomnia from working graveyard shift, anxiety/stress over new job/and some pain.  Lasted a few months then disappeared.

Best of luck to you noisey. Just know it's not life-threatening, at least not for me, and will eventually dissipate.

Yes, I have the same thing.  It's always when I start concentrating on my breathing that I seem to never be able to feel like I've "caught my breath."  In fact, I'm suffering from that very symptom as we speak.  It's best to find some way to distract yourself and your brain will take back over and your breathing will be normal.  Diaphramatic breathing works wonders as well.  Best of Luck!

I'm afraid this is a new one for me. I have never heard of this happening before and it's not a common symptom of anxiety or panic that I know of.
I will hazard a GUESS here, but that is ALL it is. The only thing I can think of that might cause you to yawn would be related to hyperventalation. That happens when we breath very shallow and rapid breaths. What happens then is that our ratio of oxygen and carbon dioxide get out of whack and we develope several symptoms. Among them is a rapid heart rate, feelings of being lightheaded/dizzy and often anxiety or panic. That you are only feeling the need to yawn to "get your breath" doesn't really fit into these symptoms.........but if you "stretch it" a little, I could possibly see that yawning, which is really just a very deep breath, might be restoring the balance of oxy/cd. That it goes on for hours is something I can't begin to explain.
Do you have any other symptoms when this happens? How often does it happen? Does it only happen when you are "sitting down and chillen?"
Since you have written to us about this, it's obvious that it has you concerned. I would advise you to talk to your doctor about this. I doubt very much that it's anything serious, but you need to have your mind put to rest and I'm sorry I couldn't do that for you. Perhaps there are other's here who understand what you are experiencing.
Peace
