I had it for a few weeks before I even found out I was pregnant. I don't understand why I got it. I had my first panic attack after doing a dab.it was so scary at first I got panic attacks constantly and Now I'm used to it. Everything always feels off. Like it doesn't exist..I'm not sure why. I lost my faith in god because I ddon't feel him anymore.. And now I'm developing thanotophobia which is a constant fear of death because I don't know what's going to happen when I die. Nobody knows I feel this. It is invisible too others..

It could be an inbalance, that is causing you to feel that way. But i think one thing that will help is not just ignoring it but excepting it and how you feel. That it is okay and you will be okay and so will your babe. That yes things may be weird right now to say he least but just keep talking about it and i think that will help. Be as open as you can about things for me derealization is a defense mecanism. How were you doing the month before you felt derealisation? Did anything happen, do you have any concerns about being pregnant because maybe you knew, you just found out later for sure.

i've experienced it for a long period of time when i was about 16 years old following my dad's death...but it didn't directly follow it. it was actually a few months after my dad died when i smoked pot with some friends. it triggered depersonalization that lasted for a looong time afterward....but it was kind of off and on.

i can't give you advice on how to get rid of it. i only know mine went away sometime after i was finally able to stop paying attention to it and just live with it. your situation is a little different than mine too, because i had a trigger and a flood of emotions that i was hiding from. it's 8 years later and i'm just starting to actually deal with those emotions. perhaps if you had a trigger, then what i've said would be more useful to you. you may have had one and don't even realize it yet. i don't know...but i do know you aren't alone in feeling that way. when i researched it, the best method of dealing with it was simply to let it go away on it's own and try not to worry about it. it's hard to do but eventually i think that is what worked for me.

Derealization can be caused by several things...........usually quite traumatic things, and perhaps finding out you are pregnant was traumatic for you?
I will assume that you are going to be getting pre-natal care soon at which time you need to talk to your OB/GYN about these feelings. I would in fact recommend you make that appointment as soon as possible/
I am more familiar with derealization/depersonalization that occurs during a panic attack and normally lasts a short period of time. I'm sorry that I don't have better advice or information for when it persists for weeks. And yes, depersoanlization can go away and it IS very frightening which makes me wonder why you've suffered with it for this long.
I wish you the best.
Peace
