I totally agree w/iamfaithful. I too have suffered w/the fluttering heart issue. I am also a frequent flyer of the ER. Mine usually began the minute I walked in the door from work and continued until/if I fell asleep. I now take Lexapro and Xanex XR and the fluttering seems to have mostly subsided. I have dealt w/anxiety and panic on and off for years. It messes w/my mind also & I think I have every disease imaginable. Besides the drugs I mentioned self talk has helped me. I talk out loud w/reassurances and some times think "how would I spend a $mil dollars if I had it". Talking on the phone w/a friend and my favorite of all.........my son will come out into the living room and just sit with me. This way I know that if something happens to me someone will know about it. This is just one of the ways the anxiety/panic issue affects me. My symptoms have decreased since being back on the drugs.
Good luck and may God bless

Yes, yes and YES. You will find a lot of people deal with this. It's almost scary how many folk who have anxiety deal with this on a daily basis. You end up going for all the heart test to rule anything out, and then you go for cardio checups every so often. Some people take meds for them, me being one of them, and others are just told to "deal with it" in a nice way by the doctors. It is a very deblitating thing to deal with. It messes with my mind something awful and I have been a frequent flyer to the ER a number of times.
A lot of folk complain that they experience it a lot in the evening, but mine can come on any time of the day. I know it's hard, but hang in there.
