sorry, it's spelled Benzodiazepine.
nate,
please go to web site http://www.stormloader.com/bettyf/
i got there from internet explorer. please don't let it scare you. stay calm, i know what your going through. most doctors don't. your ativan and klonipan are basically the same thing. Benzodiazpine's (benzo's). Google the word and search for more info. i learned that valium was best to withdraw with. i know now that i should have done it much slower at first. i was on 8mg xanax, 4mg klonopin and 30mg temazapam a day for 7 years and towards the end, drank alcohol everyday. a year ago, i stopped the klonopin, xanax and temapazam replaced them with valium. xanax is 10x stronger than valium. i am still having a hard time, but so muchhhhh better. have not had a drink since june 29, 2007. i almost did'nt make it, but i'm here. if i can do it you can to. please talk to a specialist, be aware that even some rehabs don't know how to detox benso's. it takes a LONG time to get of them and a long time to recover. do it slowly. they will fry your brain and wipe out your memory, all because you had a little trouble sleeping. sign the petition on the web site and read some of the comments. you are not alone nate. i understand.
