Well, it definitely sounds like anxiety treatment is way overdue.  Sounds (unofficially) like you may have panic disorder, with health anxiety.  people with panic disorder typically have the same "worry" most of the time, whether it be some big, life threatening health condition, dying, going crazy, etc.

An MRI is a comprehensive test, and is far better than a CT scan, in terms of being thorough.  I would imagine the "people" you have found telling you otherwise are from the internet?  I must warn you that the very worst thing you can do for your anxiety is search the web frequently.  Not only is there TONS of inaccurate and just plain BAD info out there, but also, doing that will fuel your anxiety, as you're sending constant reinforcements to your brain about your worries.  The more you can distract yourself and NOT think about those things, the better your anxiety will be.  Educating yourself about things is good, but you must proceed cautiously if you find yourself searching excessively, as a way to seek reassurance.  It becomes a compulsion basically.  If you want to spend time searching for info and educating yourself, do so with anxiety, not brain aneurysms, brain tumors, etc.

I would recommend asking your PCP for a referral for your anxiety.  There are many kinds of anxiety treatment out there, and the one part of a treatment plan that is vital is therapy.  In your case, specifically, CBT, or cognitive behavioral therapy, would benefit you, as you would learn ways to stop that cycle of "what if" thinking.

Some people choose medications as part of their regimen also.  It's a personal decision that's unique to each person.  Some people are very pro meds, some very anti meds, and some kind of in the middle.  So, if you're going to consider that, take the opinions you get (good and bad)  with a grain of salt.

There are some circumstances where I feel considering meds is very reasonable.  One, when a person has debilitating anxiety that is causing them not to be able to function well in daily life.  Two, when a person has been dealing with anxiety for a long time.  When someone posts that they have been feeling anxious for a week or two, typically, I feel starting on a med would be premature.  Lastly, when someone has tried non-medication routes without much success, I think medication(s) are warranted.

There are MANY different kinds of meds used to treat chronic anxiety, and a lot of people have had great success with them.  Of course, meds are not a "cure".  They help to control the symptoms of anxiety while the person would work on retraining their brain in therapy.  There are also lots of other things a person can do to help control their anxiety...from relaxation exercises like controlled breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, meditation, etc.  Also, things like improving the quality of one's lifestyle is helpful as well.

That's one nice thing about anxiety treatment, there is literally something out there for everyone.  I would strongly encourage you to get the ball rolling on this, if you think you may want to consider meds, then ask for a referral to a psychiatrist.  If you think you'd rather just start with therapy for now, then a clinical psychologist would be the route to take (again, preferably one that specializes in CBT).  Your PCP would be able to refer you to either, or both.  Therapy will be in the mix regardless, so if you choose to want to consider meds, I would ask for a referral to a clinic that offers both if possible.  I've had the most success with that kind of set up.  There's better communication between the doctor and the therapist, which makes for easier adjustments of the treatment plan, when necessary.  Just my experience.

Good luck to you, update us when you can!

I already addressed that too:

Most aneurysms can be discovered on a ct scan or MRI.

You don't have an aneurysm.  Start working on that anxiety.

Continuing to search for this info and ask the same questions for reassurance is the anxiety cycle.  You can ask for reassurance all day long, but you will only feel better temporarily.  You need to get help.

Good luck to you.

so today im feeling these crazy sysmtoms in my head like burning sensation, slight headaches, numbness on the side of my face, pin pricks, feels like little bugs crawling on my head.

^^^  This is from your original post, you're basically just repeating the same questions.  That's anxiety talking.  If you continue to search the internet, you are only fueling your anxiety.

You need to trust your results and seek some professional help for the anxiety.  You're stuck in the cycle.

This explains the difference between the two very well:

http://www.differencebetween.net/science/health/difference-between-mri-and-mra/

An MRA is used to look at the vessels, where an MRI looks at soft tissue.

Most aneurysms can be discovered on a ct scan or MRI.

You don't have an aneurysm.  Start working on that anxiety.

Hello and welcome!

Sounds very typical of health anxiety, and anxiety can cause very real physical symptoms, which doesn't help, it fuels our anxiety more.

The thing you have to keep in mind, to reassure yourself, is that you've done the right thing by going to a doctor to rule out a medical cause for your symptoms.  You've had some very thorough diagnostic tests, and so far, everything is normal.  THAT is a good thing.  You don't need to doubt the results, the tests you had were quite thorough, they aren't going to miss something big and bad like you're worrying about.

You don't say how old you are?  Do you have a history of anxiety?  Have you ever sought treatment for it?  Anything else pertinent, like a medical conditions or medications?  Any drug or alcohol abuse?

Sounds to me like health anxiety, and being that you're getting a clean bill of health thus far, I think it's logical to seek out some professional help to start working on the anxiety.  Even if you were to find out that something was wrong (which is unlikely IMO), you still definitely are experiencing high levels of anxiety and "what if" thoughts.

Best to you, let us know how you're doing.
