thank you for your response....i am not good with humor sometimes, thank you for your apology :)
i'm sorry you are suffering with this too, how do you deal with the kids being at school? for me i am better off the less i am around school, oherwise i will count kids to see who is absent and obsess about what they have, etc. do you have any tips for me?
I'm really sorry. It was certainly not my intent to upset you so horribly and I apologize. Sometimes a little humor can help us look at our problems, if only for a moment, in a slightly different light. I got the feeling from reading your post that you might be able to appreciate some silliness. I was very wrong. I might make jokes about a certain type of issue, but I never make fun of the person who suffers with it. I understand that your problems affect you deeply and I'm glad that you are seeking ways to deal with it. We do offer a great deal of support on this forum and I hope you give it another chance.
Since you are already in therapy, my advice was redundant, but you didn't tell us about that or the energy healer. Do you feel you are getting adequate help from these therapies? Personally, I think you are doing the very best for yourself and your family by being in therapy. And I'm glad you found us to come to for extra support. I'm sorry it was me you had to encounter first.
I will leave any further advice to others as I'm sure your trust in me is shot.
Again, I offer you my heartfelt apology.
Peace

i too sufer from anxiety i have fear of dieing and i also have fear of getting germs im constantly washing my hands sometimes i get cuts just from washing them so much were they just start cracking im a mom of three my youngest is 6 months my daughter is 6 and my middle child is 3 years old i even got my kids constantly washing there hands i dont let my kids play outside im afraid that they might play with dirt or eat it and than get sick i honestly think that nobody can help us or make us better cause its in our own minds maybe it is something we have to live with.
i do see a therapist, an energy healer, and many others, it's hard work and i've been working on it a long time. i felt upset reading your post because you seemed to be making fun of something that affects me very deeply, every day. i am hoping to get support and encouagement from this group as i'm assuming you all suffer your own anxieties?
Sounds like you've picked up some anxiety/OCD along with all those germs! Sorry, I know it's not funny...........sometimes I can't help myself. While it's natural for mothers to worry about illness in our children and spouses, it should not become obsessive.
I'd recommend a discussion with your doctor and a referral to a therapist. Figure out where this fear came from. Beat it before you begin to bathe the baby in Lysol.
A little mental work on your part and you'll be back to enjoying that family of yours, germs and all.
Promise!
Peace
