is it a heart issue?

i have been under an OBSCENE amount of stress this past month. the other day my left arm started to feel funny. i would press on the underside of the top part and would feel tingling all the way down to my fingers. Today i started to have a wicked panic attack while food shopping. I started to get a slight pain in the left part of my chest and under the back part of my left shoulder blade. My mother thinks its all stress anr or a pinched nerve. im freaking out and made an appt my dr. although i was just there yesterday and my bp was 110/72!
why am i experiencing this pain??? im 35 and way too young for this crap!

i appreciate the reply. i did go to the dr today and he did a full ekg and it was normal. he said that the feeling i have in my arm could very well be a pinched nerve. He said that anxiety is nothing to joke about and toold me to relax and know there is nothing wrong with my heart.
he gave me some medication to take if i should experience this anxiety again. My bp was 130/70 when i first went there and then after the ekg he took it again and it was 117/71.
with that said, i am quite relieved

You say you've been under an "OBSCENE" amount of stress in the past month. You stated that your left arm started to feel funny and when you pressed on a certain part, you would feel tingling all the way down to your fingers.
You were just at your doctors yesterday, what did he say about your symptoms? Did you discuss your stress issues and what you could do about them? As for your bp, 110/72 is quite good. I wasn't sure if your exclamation point meant you were happy about this or concerned. Taking into consideration all the stress and the possible anxiety about what was going on with your arm, I think one can safely say your bp was probably slightly elevated.

Today you say that while shopping, you had a "wicked panic attack." You then began to feel a slight  pain in the left part of your chest which radiated to your back under your shoulder blade. Chest pain, even chest pain that radiates to other areas, is a classic symptom of panic. But I cannot tell you that this should be ignored. In fact, I would advise you to have a complete cardio work up to rule out an organic cause. So it's good that you have a follow up appointment with your doctor.

It's very possible that the tingling in your arm is/was a pinched nerve. Tingling is a classic symptom of a pinched nerve. Is it still happening? Is it getting worse? Did you recently injure, twist or strain your arm in some way?

I wish I could tell you why you were experiencing this pain and tingling, but only your doctor will be able to diagnose that.

There are many young people, teenagers, who write to us with horrific symptoms of pain and panic and fear.............they are too young for this crap, too. But it's life and few, if any of us, get out of it unscathed.
Peace
