Help...

Hi. I am a teen' who pulls her eyelashes out. I honestly do regret it, but I just don't know how to stop. My parents punish me, but they don't know the reason why i'm pulling them out. They just think it's weird and unacceptable. Anyway as my punishment, I get my make-up taken away so the whole world knows my secret. I already lack self-confidence, which just makes things worse -causing me to pull ut more eyelashes from stress. Also, it's been about 4 and a half weeks and no sign of them growing back. I'm in a crisis but don't know how to tell my parents what i'm feeling either.     I will appriciate any help. Thanks, in advance.

Sounds like you have 'Trichotillomania'
see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichotillomania

I had this for a time. I pulled out the hair on the side of my head - near my ears.
It didn't hurt and was more of a subconsious habit then anything else.
It went away as mysteriously as it started.
I suffer from anxiety and depression and felt it was related to that as the link above states.

Ask your parents to schedule a doctors appointment to discuss this and seek counseling as well.  Good luck.

Yes, I do have someone at my school who I can talk to. But what if someone else finds out...because at my school the principal will say "Will ______ ____ please report to guidance" ??????

this is terrible, you have gone through quite a bit you are probably anxious, your parents really needs to listen to you,do you attend a school where you can speak to somewhere there who can call your parents in to talk some sense into them, you should not be dealing with these emotions on your own, bless you please keep talking to me,

Also, I would just like to say/add that (this has nothing 2 do with eyelash pulling...I think) every once in a while, I get dizzy and see all black.  I have to quickly go sit down or I feel that I am going to pass out or throw up. I don't know what is causing it.

        To describe my condition...
You know how when you close your eyes and press on them? That's what i see when this happens.
It happens randomly, no obvious patterns.

And I did talk to my parents about this but, all they say is "You did this to yourself" or "It's not my problem" or "It's your own stupid fault" (ect.) And yes, I do have strict parents!

They won't even consider helping me out. They don't think somethings wrong with me...i'm just a 'bad kid' according to them.

And thank you so much for writing back :) , I wish more people were like you.

Ok. Well the stress i'm going through:

Just moved in to a new house
      Fave Grandmother just passed away
Going to a new school...only knowing 2 people who aren't even my friends
Just triple-sprained my ankle causing me to be out of soccer for OVER A YEAR...and soccer was the 1 hing that made me feel good.

But that's not even all of it.
