Your husband should talk to his Dr about the stress and insomnia. There are meds that can possibly help, that's true. Maybe your husband might want to think about taking the natural route. You can google natural sleep remedies. I'm recommending natural remedies because they're not addictive. Your husband really should talk to his Dr before taking anything though, even if it's natural.
insomnia is not every day so i think meds won't cause a problem but i still want them mild , effective and non addictive if possible
It is most likely the stress from his job. Many people these days don't have the option to just pick up and leave a job and go to another because they're so hard to find in the first place.
Is there any way your husband would consider therapy? Like I mentioned before, there are meds that may help but I like to recommend trying therapy first if possible.
yes he has a stressful job and yes there are many inevitable issues that makes him stressful and worried
It sounds more like depression than anxiety to me. Yes, there are meds to help with this but your husband may want to think about therapy first to get to the root of his possible depression.
Does he have a stressful job, are there other things he may be worried about?
I wish there were a magic pill. An antidepressant may help and they are generally considered non-addictive. Most hypnotics (sleeping pills like Ambien) and anti-anxiety medications can become addictive and your body will become dependent on them if used for long periods of time.
