klonopin and pregnancy
I am 8 weeks pregnant. I have not taken my Klonopin since I found out except for this week. I had a major panic attack on Tuesday and took a .5 mg tablet and then again yesterday I took another .5mg tablet. I threw the rest of the bottle down the toilet so I wouldn't do this again. Has anyone ever taken Klonopin while pregnant? Do you think I harmed the fetus by taking the pill two times?
The problem here is quitting abruptly. If you've been on the klonopin for awhile, it can be very difficult to stop taking, and could in some cases cause seizures, since it's an anti-seizure med. Tapering off is probably safer for both you and your child. I'd consult your gynecologist on this one.
