klonopin and xanax

My anxiety is at an all time high right now. I feel like I am dying or going insane. My ears feel plugged, I have a bad headache, dizzy, nausea, shaky. My doc told me to take klonpin 2mg tonight before bed, I also take 4mg of xanax a day. The xanax is not working for me anymore, I gained a tolerance. Im scared. Has anyone tried klonopin? Please let me know!

Do youself a favor and slowly stop taking all those drugs, they only mask the underlying problem. Go to a doctor and have him check to see if you don`t have Chronic sinusitis or a Heart arrhythmia. I have both problems, and i went through hell on earth for 30 years, until i found a doctor who took the time to do the right tests and did`nt think i was nuts. (Throw the damn drugs away) Has`nt anyone noticed, there are never cures, just maintanence. I hope all those drug company executives burn in hell for all the suffering these bastards have caused.

I started using zoloft 50mg for the last two days... i am a wreck. my mood swings are huge. i cannot sleep at night and wake up with racing heart and anxiety... i have to take xanax 2.5m to put me to sleep otherwise i cannot sleep at all throughout the night... i have had 3 panic attacks in a week and anxiety all the time. one night i woke up thinking that i might harm myself, it was the first night i took zoloft. i am going to my doc again today to see what can i do to calm my body down... i am not sure whats triggering my panic attack syndrome... Can someone share their initial experiences of taking anti depressants...

Id say the reason your anxious is because your actually taking to high of a dose 2mg klonopin combined klonopin and 4mg xanax is alot, and when it starts to wear of in between dose thats when you get the "interdose anxiety" the 4 mg of xanax is within the theurpeutic range of pd which is anywhere between 2-6 mg which is right in the middle.Klonopin has been known to lead depression(it happened to me).You may want to try Xanax extended-release which can be take once a day which lasts about 24 hours. The nice thing about the Xanax xr is it keeps you on a even keel throughout the day without interdose anxiety. Many people i know have found this to be a better alternative than klonopin,I think it is a great maintanance med..The nice think about xanax is it actually as a anti-depressant properties so unlike klonopin it will take care of both your anxiety and depression.

Hi, It's me again. How long did the drowsiness last for you. I am a zombie since my dose last night. You are taking way more than I am. How do you do it? Will it go away?

Thanks for the input. I took a klonopin tonight, so far I am just really drowsy. My anxiety seems to have calmed down though. THANK YOU again for the input.

My brother takes klonopin, along with Zoloft, I think they countereffect eachother. I have heard good things about klonopin, but everybody is different. I understand the dizzy, ears plugged, headache, nausea, shaky thing, that usually comes before my attacks. Hang in there, you will be okay. Try to relax and not be concerned with taking the meds, if that is what you want to do. But you also don't have to do it if you choose not to. Don't stress yourself out about taking the meds or not, just be comfortable with your decision. Take care!
