Mine was been 80/45 at times and I was ok. If it is sudden onset and you are experiencing symptoms with it then it doesnt hurt to get looked at. If it is your norm than I agree lucky you! Low blood pressure is a great thing as long as its not causing you to pass out etc. Sometimes you have to increase your salt if it runs too low. Make sure you are hydrated as well
A lot depends on your age and other health issues, but the minimum that is acceptable is 80/50. If you're young and very active then your BP should be on the low side and that's a good thing. Since your systolic is lower than the standard norm for hypotension, I would discuss this with your doctor. Blood pressure that is too low carries it's own health risks just like high blood pressure. Dehydration can cause a drop in our blood pressure, so make sure you're staying well hydrated. Hope this helps and take care!
If your BP has always been in this lower range, then consider yourself lucky. Healthy people with low NORMAL blood pressure at rest tend to live longer!
If your BP has suddenly dropped to a lower range, then you may have hypotension which can cause dizziness and fainting and should be brought to your doctors attention immediately.........if not sooner.
Just as there are meds for high blood pressure, there are meds for low blood pressure as well.
I would recommend you discuss this with your doctor.
