menopause

Hi all I'm in menopause now 7 year my period has stopped almost two years now...  in the past month my hot flashes have got considerably aggressive and most upsetting to the point where I feel dizzy and sick sometimes when I experience one I'm not on hrt as I choose not to take it I'm more into fighting it myself with a little help from vitiams is there anyone here than can relate to what I'm going through.  The hot flash are Really getting Me down as they are very frequent and much worse I have made a appointment with my doctor but it's not until Wednesday of next week as she is on holiday and I feel more comfortable with my lady doctor rather than see a male doctor who is filling it for her......

If you don't want to take medication, and I think that's a good idea to be cautious about, have you thought of seeing a doctor trained in integrated medicine or a naturopath and trying plant medicine and diet and exercise and the like to balance your hormones?
