nausea and dizziness is it my celexa?

Ive been on celexa for a couple months, just upped my dose from 20 to 30 mg 7 days ago. I've been okay then all of a sudden major nausea with some dizziness (feeling like im about to pass out) today. then my anxiety kicked in and i was freaking out until i took an ativan, now i seem okay, just a little nauseous. i have bad health anxiety and am worried it is something serious. i know its not a bug and im not dehydrated...i am so anxious does anyone know what it could be? oh and i use condoms so im pretty sure im not pregnant either.

I think its very likely your body is adjusting to the new med dose. Should get better in about a week from now.

Everytime you change the dose of an SSRI you can expect mild to moderate symptoms. It doesn't usually take a week for them to show up, though. It sounds like you had an anxiety attack. Were you ok on the 20 mgs of Celexa?  If so why mess with success?  If your anxiety was still out of control, the higher dose should help eventually. The Celexa just may not be enough to control your anxiety.  There are things that can be added to the SSRI for added efficacy.

Call your prescribing doctor regarding this since your dosage was recently increased and go from there.
