Remeron can be a very sedating med, and more so since he combined it with another med.  It's also a big weight gainer because it slows the metabolism, though no side effect hits everyone.  You might want to have a good sit-down with this doc.  That being said, many meds are very sedating at first, sometimes they stop being so and sometimes they continue being so, depending on the person.

Are you feeling any better since you quit taking the one med? I really hope you are.
You should be able to give your Dr a call and not have to wait for your next appointment to talk to him about what he put you on.

Thank you so much for your advices.I stopped takeing a medicament called risset (risperidon) because i rode abt it and it is Psychotic medicament to treat Schizophrenia. My diagnose is Panic Anxiety Disorder so i think these medicament were absolute wrong for me,i thought I was dying during that time I took it.I'm now takeing just a half dose of Mirtazepine (anti depresant) and I can't contact to my doc.till the next appointment and I'm so worry :( Should I be back in that bad medicament even it is the worst medicament i ever used?I'm so sad I don't have an idea why my doc prescribed me on it :(

I agree with the above posters too. Give your Dr a call and ask if your dose can be decreased for awhile.

I agreed with Meds 38.  You should call your doctor because you take another pill.  Sure you have side effects when you start with new meds, but you shouldn't be where you can not function.  You sound like you are over medicated. Especially with your heart racing.  Hope you get better soon.

Hey,
My advice.. go back to the doctor before you take another... I started with 25mgs Zoloft and was very high.. couldn't sleep after 12hours of taking it.. so before I took another went back and saw him and he got me to start at half that dose.. and that was fine.
I am very cautious..and many probably will disagree and tough it out... but that's what I would do :) take care

Thank you so much for your replay.I'm afraid to take those meds again because I slept for about 15 hours and I'm still feeling so sleepy I guess I'have to sleep again now.I have fast race heart beat ..I feel bad, weak,I can't stand on my feet .Should I continue to take them or I should quit?Have you ever felt this way when you started new med?

I feel drugged :(

I'm sorry you're going through this!

"remar" is correct, side effects are very common when starting a new med.  Unfortunately, with some of the meds out there, they'll actually make us feel worse before we start to feel better.  Keep drinking plenty of fluids, eat well, rest.  If the symptoms are still troubling you, give your dr. a call.

Hope you start to feel good soon!

Having side effects when you first start meds is very common. If you feel like your dose it too high though after a few days give your Dr a call. He/she may want to decrease your meds and up them gradually.
It really is common to have these side effects the first few days. I hope you feel better soon.
