hi ive started taking fluoxetine ive been on it for three weeks all it does is make me feel tired all the time and i dont feel any better ,how long does it take to work?

Should be starting to work around now,maybe give it a litle longer otherwise go back to doc you might need a higher dose or different med.Lily

It takes 4-6 weeks for it to reach a therapeutic level in your system, and this is when you feel the most benefits from it.  You may want to call your prescribing doctor about the tiredness to see what he has to say.  He wants and needs to hear from you while on this medication if you have any concerns or questions.  Don't worry about calling him too often...they expect this and are used to it.
