I'm glad you were okay and that your husband was there to help!

Yes, you will get better.  Like I said, sometimes this takes a while and some medication adjustments, just hang in there and keep working at it.  You got there before, you will again!

Well, a return of anxiety and depression related symptoms can happen pretty much any time.  The important thing is that you got back on the train seeking help.

I'm very concerned about the fact that you state you "tried to take an overdose".  Are you saying you were trying to harm yourself?  Or were you just desperate for some sleep?  I'll tell you that a fellow MH member ended up dying from an accidental OD just trying to chase some sleep.  You simply cannot take a chance of self medicating or increasing the doses of your meds by yourself.  You need to keep working with your psych figuring out the meds and you have to give this some time,  Relief doesn't come overnight and while we;'re desperate for a reprieve from our symptoms, self medicating is never the way to go.

If you actually were attempting suicide, you need to tell your doctor that right away so you can get the appropriate help.  It read to me that you were trying to get sleep, but I wanted to be sure to cover all the bases.

You will have ups and downs during this process, just stick with it and again, allow your doctor to be the one in charge of the meds.  Have you sought any talk therapy to help you through this?  I think it would help you tremendously.

Let us know how it's going!
