How long does it take for anxiety relief after getting off birth control pills?

hi there. i know its been awhile but just want to ask you what happened to you when you stopped and what did you do to ease the anxiety? I have recently been in this siuation where my contraceptive pill was causing anxiety each month when i had my period but it got to the point that i didnt want to deal with it anymore.. so i stopped the pill. since then i have been in constant anxiety with several medical check ups to see if something was wrong. Hormone levels from blood test came back fine.
My neurologist has prescribed anti depressants which i started last night (and i hate the side effects- worse then i was feeling before).
What did you guys end up doing for relief.? i've tried several relaxation techniques  and plain old panadol but didnt get any relief. I would prefer not to be taking anti depressants but felt it was the last straw..

any advise would be great.

Hey I would be careful with this.  Have you told your doctor about this?  You're suppose to call and tell your doctor.  I did this and it messed up all my hormones from stopping it.  I hope this helps....
