Numbness on foot

hi, i have a numbness feeling in my right foot, it began about 4 weeks ago in both feet, sometimes it comes back to my left feet and sometimes it almost goes away for several hours but then comes back, it's really weird because i also feel kind of a vibration o my genital area sometimes.

Once in a while i feel burning feet and spasms especially in my legs.

Less frequently i feel numbness on on my legs, the face (between the eyes), on the left-bottom of my chin, and i even have felt numbness (a couple of times) on the left-top of my head.

Since yesterday i started feeling like needles on my right foot when i move it or touch the area; i had also notice that my feet sometimes sweat, swell up and get purple when i sit.

My hands have been sweating more that normal lately too.

A doctor told me about 2 weeks ago that it was because of anxiety (after physical check). I am conscious i was stressed but now i am working out, eating well, resting, i feel relaxed most time of the day and i have been trying not to think about it so i was hopping the sensation had gone by now.

By the way the numbness sensation on my feet feels stronger when i walk or run (exercise).

I am not English native speaker so i hope i had made myself clear.

Thank you, giovannine! I am doing much better since I had the heart stents placed. I'm also very happy to hear that YOU are better as well. If we lived closer, we could go out and celebrate being alive, yes?  :)
Please keep us updated on your health, OK?

So glad you saw another doctor, Giovannine! I hope you give that first one the boot as I believe he could have easily endangered your life.
I wish you a speedy recovery, as I'm sure mammo does as well.
Take care!

Hi greenlylia & mamo, i went to another today and he told me it's a circulation issue, accented because of the anxiety and stress, so he medicated me and told me to keep exercising.

I'll keep on working to get rid of these issue. Thank u very much for your responses

Hi, your English is great!  There are several causes for swollen, purple feet and I recommend you seek a second opinion. I don't feel this is related to anxiety either. I don't think your current doctor has a clue as to what it is, and should have referred you to someone who could help you.  Some doctors are too quick to attribute every symptom to anxiety, when they should investigate it further. You obviously feel there's more to it as well, and it's good that you realize this.  I wish you all the best and good luck.

While numbness is certainly a common symptom of anxiety/panic, it is most frequently experienced during an attack. The only other common symptom you mentioned is sweaty palms. There are many frightening symptoms that point to anxiety/panic, but you didn't mention experiencing any of them.
What you DID mention and what sent up a big red flag for me was you wrote:

"Since yesterday i started feeling like needles on my right foot when i move it or touch the area; i had also notice that my feet sometimes sweat, swell up and get purple when i sit."

This is NOT a symptom of anxiety. This sounds more like a circulation problem to me and your doctor should have, in my humble and non-medical opinion, sent you on to a specialist for more testing. In fact, I recommend that you see another doctor for a second opinion as soon as possible.
I'm sorry if I'm scaring you, I didn't intend to and I'm not saying that you don't actually have some anxiety about these symptoms, I just don't think anxiety is the complete diagnosis.
I hope you will let us know how you're doing.
Peace
