weird feeling

Can anxiety cause chills?  i am a big time hypo.  i constantly think i have a terminal illness.  i am on paxil and amitriptiline.  i think i need to see a shrink and change the way i think.  if there was a pill to make you stop thinking stupid things i would have signed up years ago.  i have no real symptoms of anything, but if i cough i have throat cancer instead of nasal drippage.  when i get sick it is because my immune system is bad not a cold.  if i think about it when i eat it seems harder to swallow or not go down.  i used to be so fun loving and laid back.  i have an 11 month old and since i have gotten him i am more worried.  i love him to death and want to be around to make sure everything is as good as it can be.  better than me.  i hope he did not get my crazy gene.

I am the same way. I have social anxieties (for about 7 years now), and I'm a hypochondriac. I was on Paxil for about 6 years and I finally got off of it. (Do not stop Paxil w/out doctor supervision!) I take Hydroxozine now. Talk w/ your doctor about it. It's not the strongest thing, but it works when you need it instead of having to build it up in your system like Paxil. It works for about 8 hours and I haven't had any side effects. I even went on vacation to Orlando, and went to Disney World! I know I could not have done it w/out the pills.

You are not crazy.  This is all anxiety.  I would get into CBT therapy if I were you.  It is amazing what they can do to help you with the negative thinking.  There are also a lot of books that can help also.  And yes, anxiety can cause chills.  When I am anxious I get hot then cold then chills, etc.  And I have also had the swollowing thing going on.  The more I think about it the worse it gets.  You have to learn to replace these negative thoughts with positive ones and it takes time and patience but is very doable.

Hope this helps.
