Yhe Docyor is the one who told me to switch...
I have decided not to swurch at this time. I am trying to get myself tapered off.
You need to do this under your doctor's guidance, and follow his/her instructions. This is not something you should do yourself.
Going on meds, switching or any change for that matter, is very difficult for people going through anxiety. Remembering this while doing anything will make you understand why you are frightened.
Although I don't agree with taking tranquilizers during the day to treat anxiety, some people do require them to function (I take Paxil daily). I will take xanax at night before bed if I need it, which isnt often.
I am sure and confident that you will be ok switching your meds but I dont understand why your Doctor wants you to make this change. Your long term goal should be to get off the tranquilizers and learn to control your stress that causes you to suffer from anxiety.
A good exercise program has been proven to combat anxiety and depression. I am not saying that you shouldnt use the meds for anxiety. Use them when needed but everyone's long term goal should be get into shape and use your MIND to combat anxiety.
