I take Prozac also.
I started taking it in the mornings but I had bad start up side effects and it made me so tired. So I have now been taking it after dinner.
Taking it at night suits me better than taking it in the morning.
I asked my doctor if I could do this before I did and she said it was fine.
She said it can cause insomnia in some people so that's why its recommended to take in the morning. But if it doesn't keep you up at night it should be fine.
All the best!

Hello and welcome!

It's common for a doctor to instruct his/her patients to find a time for medication administration that makes the most sense for them individually.  For example, if a med causes more drowsiness, it makes sense to take it at night, whereas if a med causes an increase in anxiety, the morning makes more sense.

I think trying to adjust the dosage time is totally reasonable, and you may find that it's more helpful when taking it at a different time.  Definitely ask your doc first, but it shouldn't be an issue.  Also remember to always take the Prozac as close to the same time every day as possible.

Good luck, keep us updated!
