xanax and driving

Hi. I have a dr. appt tomorrow and need a few things done that I just am to scared to have done.  I insist run out of the exam room lol.
I'm going to take 1 0.5 xanax about 30 min before I leave.  Note- its about a 15 mine drive.  I will need more then just 1 .5 xanax to keep calm,  so I was going to take half of .5 when I got to the office. My only concern is driving home.  I've never had a problem with just one .5, but never took more than that.
I have no choice,  I have to take it or I will be to scared to get the exams done.
Ps. I couldn't find anyone to take me.  :(

All went fine. I worried for nothing.  I took the .5 xanax,  hubs took me.  :) I realized today that I'm stronger than I think I am.  I think I overcame my fear of the dr.  At least my new Dr.  She was amazing.  Never had a dr as nice and gentle as her.  ;)

I agree that the 0.5mg should be enough to hopefully keep your anxiety at bay long enough to get your tests done.  What tests are you having done btw?

If you end up needing to take more, I would advise trying to find a ride home, to be safe.  You could even take a cab and then go back to get your car later.

Hope all goes well for you!

The .5 should stay in your system for hours, long enough to have the tests done. If you feel like you need a second dose would there be someone who could drive you to your appointment?
