What is making me feel this way??
I am 26 and for the last couple months I have been feeling as though I am falling apart. It started off with my neck swelling and an enlarging sensitive, sore spot under my right arm. That ending up being shingles. It took a few weeks to take care of that and ever since I have been having EXTREME fatigue that just seems to get worse and worse everyday... I went through a period where my throat would swell up every couple of days (for less than 24 hours) but havent had that happen again in almost 2 weeks. I have a headache almost EVERY day. Some worse than others, seems like they would come in the evening... til I woke up with one yesterday that just sent me right back to the bed. Last time my throat swelled up both of my sides felt sore to the touch (or when coughing) just like my throat. For the last week I have been having a rash on both arms. It itches (more at night and in the sun, or after a warm shower) and looks like little pen pricks (red). I have also had high blood pressure every time I have gone into the drs office since the first visit for shingles. High stage 1 hypertension. Last time I went in he drew blood to check my sugar, sodium, potassium, thyroid, liver, kidney and white blood cell count... I am hoping to get those results back tomorrow... My Moms great grandmother had lupus and my Mom has sjogrems (Sp?) but I have looked up lupus and aside from the fatigue and headaches there is nothing there that makes me think that is it... One more thing, I have been having a LOT more bowel movements than what has always been normal for me. If anyone has anything thoughts please let me know... its driving me crazy not knowing what is going on. And it is upsetting that I dont have the energy to do much with my children. Also, the sooner I figure this out the better because I have no insurance! Thank you!
I'm so sorry you are going through this. Skin rashes, sore throats and hypertension can also happen with Lupus but can also be many other things. I hope your doctor can get to the bottom of it quickly for you.
I got the blood work results back and all is fine except for my blood sugar was a little high... it was 130. I am going to go back to have my CMP retested in 3 weeks after fasting. I went in today to have my bp checked today and it is higher than it has been before... today it was 166/100.
