Hi, I had an ANA reading of 1:320 Granular a while back. My doctor didn't acknowledge it as positive or discuss it with me, so it's likely nothing to worry about, but I thought I'd ask. Is this normally considered "normal"?
ANAs can be present in up to 20% of the population with a low/medium titre
- yours at 1:360 is considered medium-
it lacks the "specificity" required for any possible determination.
If you have a copy of the Lab report with the image of the Nuclear pattern,
then perhaps the pattern can be identified more precisely, as "granular"
is lacking specificity as well. There are different types of "grandular" patterns.
Yeah, it is considered borderline normal.
Personally, I would not worry about it, as there's nothing clinically significant for diagnostic purposes, at this point.
Take care.
Niko
