Anyone understand these blood results?

I had some blood tests done, and my family Doctor knew I was going to see my Lupus Consultant so he told me to take a copy of the results with me as some of them were "slightly worrying" I took them, and unfortunately saw a Doctor I had never seen before, he took one look at them and passed them back to me saying they were perfect! I don't understand why my own doctor told me to take them if they were all totally fine, I am confused! I am now left    thinking do I go back to my family doctor and ask why he thought they should be taken to my lupus clinic, or do I just forget it. I am feeling very unwell at the moment. Anyone who might understand the results I would be very grateful.
The urine test says;
Red cells <5 x10 6/L
White Cells 10-20 x 10 6/L
Epith.cells ++

Escherichia Coli
Blood ,Venous

ESR was described as borderline at 18mm/h (3-9) which makes sense as I am currently on steroids

Specimen description;Serum

I understand the other results, most say normal no action required, and my cholesterol was slightly high at 6.2

I don't understand why the word abnormal is by the two tests.Can anyone help?

I agree wit Kelly, that you ought to go back to your PC and ask hime to explain each 'abnormal' results.  'Also, type in 'HOW TO INTERPRETE BLOOD TEST RESULTS' on your search engine and you may find couple of very informative sites that explains it.

I try to make it a habit and go to these sites to see what exactly each 'abonormalty' means and discuss it with my doc. each time I have a blood test done,

Since my illness 15 yrs ago, I learned that doctors don't know everything there's to know.anc  cannot possiblity take care our every medical needs in 20 minutes.  Therefore, it is to my advantage to be an informed patients to help my doctor to help me.

Wishing you luck.

I need to be yelled at! I could fight to the death for my children, but when it comes to standing up for myself I turn into a silly little scared child!!! No idea why, except that I have had some horrible experiences with the medical profession that have left me feeling scared.

Don't just forget about it.  Go back to your PCP and ask why he wanted you to go to the Lupus Clinic.  That sounds like a very specific recommendation.  Don't feel bad about advocating for your health, it could mean the difference between a good quality of life and an unhealthy one.  Please take care of yourself or I'll have to yell at you some more. Good luck with everything. :)
