I am a healthy 44 yo female. I am not overweight, don't smoke, rarely drink. During the night and when I first wake up, I am experiencing excruciating bilateral knee pain. I noticed the pain about 4 months ago and it is worsening. I know it sounds crazy but I have to pull myself up, using the wall and toilet with my arms, to get up from the toilet when I get up to urinate in the night. As the day progresses, the pain is still there but not as intense as during the night. My knees are also swollen at all times, L>R. I walk for exercise. I am no longer able to squat down due to the pain and swelling. If I did squat down, I would not be able to get up. I take glucosomine chondrotine daily. I had my right knee scoped 3 years ago and my left knee scoped 8 months ago. I had an arthritis panel taken last month. The doctor said nothing to worry about, RA was negative but the ANA was positive. I take Exforge for HBP. I take Vicodin for the pain but does not work and Mobic does not seem to work either. Any ideas?
