Trying to figure out what my body is going through.

I am 21 years old, I am very health conscious. My height and weight is  exactly 5 ft and  96pounds. Ive been with my 2 year old son's father for over 3 years. was diagnosed with shingles on the left side of my face about 4 days ago. I have been taking valtrex for 3 days now twice a day. It seemed to be effective for the several ulcers on tip of tongue and underneath tongue. Currently going through testing to find underlying cause such as suspected auto immune disease. I have been consistent on antiviral medication and was prescribed lyrica for pain. My left eye is extremely irritable and half of my neck, more so in the back, skin is extemely warm to touch, neck is beat red along with 2 more blisters under ear area. I had the impression that shingles stayed in one area but my neck is under a large about of pain that felt exactly like the left side of my face. My legs are also extremely blotchy and have had unusual pain in bone from the bottom of knees to the top of ankle and bruising that lines up on both legs where pain is the most sensitive. Now white raised patches are appearing in both legs. When I press down on skin anywhere on my legs or feet it turns white and takes about 20 seconds to fade away.i was wondering why my shingles is continuing to spread while under the anti viral and lyrica? As well as a possibility with unusual legs signs started occurring after outbreak on face could be a huge sign of any diseases or illnesses?  And should I go to the ER for this or wait until I am able to see my doctor?

Hi magiccastles92.

Sorry for what you're going through, but be patient and hopefully it will resolve soon, as you are young and health-conscious.
Most of your suffering and symptoms seem to be related to shingles,
however, instead of going to the ER, call your treating doctor's office first,
unless your condition is critical and your symptoms are dramatically taking
a turn for the worse.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
