Undiagnosed Immune Disorder?

I've been to a rheumatologist who tested me for everything under the sun- including lupus. I tested negative for that and everything else, so she decided I have some type of reactive arthritis. However, since my visit there I've experienced severe chest pain, which worsens with coughing, sneezing, breathing deeply, etc. Severe fatigue, joint pain, and insomnia has accompanied this. Could the chest pain be pleurisy related to an immune disorder that I tested negative for? My body is experiencing far too much pain for this to be nothing.

Wow, this was very enlightening. I had never even considered it could be something like that. I will check him out, thank you!

I have had pleurisy 3 times and your symptoms all resemble what I had experienced.
It is likely due to a low grade underlying infectious condition, which when fully activated, causes the inflammation of the pleura... and more.
If the infection is Pathogenic Mycoplasma or one of its co-infections like
Babesia, Bartonella, Ehrlichia, Borrelia etc., standard tests cannot detect them and your doctor would know very little about them.

Look for LLMDs Lyme Literate Medical Doctors), who operate mostly under the radar-these conditions are not recognized as chronic infections and doctors are not trained or not willing to take a chance to treat them as such, due to protocols.

You may also want to do a search here under Dr. Garth Nicolson, a part time contributor in MedHelp and an expert in these infections.

Best wishes,
Niko
