Hi Darla. And you are most welcome.
You have had your share of health issues for sure!
Look into deficiencies in Acetyl-CoA (rare), DHEA (common), Cortisol (common), malic acid (common) and Pantothenic Acid (rare) .
Other possible underlying issues: Low adrenal function ( with Low cortisol
and possibly low DHEA ), low thyroid function (subclinical or w/ cellular resistance or undetected due to inaccurate serum test results*),
pathogenic mycoplasma infections and co-infections (extremely difficult to detect & diagnose with standard tests, search under Dr. Garth Nicolson here in medhelp for more info)
*Proper testing for low thyroid is Free T3, Free T4 & Reverse T3, however if
low thyroid function is linked to low adrenal function, additional supplementation with natural or synthetic thyroid meds will make it worse!!!
if low adrenal function is not addressed first!
Let me know if you need more details, however, please note that my comments do not constitute medical advice.
Wishing you well.

Hi Niko !! Thank you so much for responding. :) My primary caregiver ordered labs a week ago. I think comp panel, sedrate,ANA, and thyroid panel. All results were in range. But he said that doesnt mean I dont have an autoimmune process going on. He has refered me to Rheumatology. My appt. isnt until May 06.... :( I am also wondering if the rash I have developed on my arms and hands is due to possible autoimmune issues. My main symptoms are Morning stiffness, joint pain and swelling...more in my elbows/wrists and hands but also shoulders,back/knees and feet. Fatigue and pain. Back about 19 years ago my physician at the time thought I may have lupus. I had a positive ANA and had a skin biopsy which came back negative . Saw a rheumatologist who thought I could possibly have sogjrens(sp) syndrome. I didnt keep my follow up appt. and just never went back. I have pseudo tumor cerebri and have had two brain surgeries to place VP shunts. I have had alot of health issues through life and have had 16 surgeries. If you have any other questions just let me know. And again...thanks for your response.
Hi Darla.
Yes on your facial picture it looks like a malar rash, which could be
due to a number of different conditions, like lupus, lyme's, photosensitivity,
dermatomyositis or other, however, more investigation is needed.
Have you had any diagnostic work, labs, tests and what are your main symptoms?
Take care.
Niko
