shingles

I am a Registered Nurse, currently working in the ER. I am the mother of 2 young children and have a husband. I have recently quit smoking and have a very Type A personality. I am training for a half marathon. I have, just this week been diagnosed with a mild case of Shingles. A friend told me I was in Adrenal Fatigue?  My question is, is there any connection between adrenal fatigue and shingles. I would love a response.
Thanks

I have very red tingling rash that burns on my left cheek of my face.  Had it 3 days now and is spreading down my neck under my chin.  Really uncomfotable but no pain prior to rash or even now.  Went to docs yesterday and she immediately said it was shingles.  Has put me on antiviral tabs and cream.  Anyone who has had it or info on the net all describe pain prior, during and after rash.  Wondering if misdiagnosed.  Everyday it feels a bit worse.  Any comments appreciated.

I can't recall for sure. I know STRESS brings it on. when my oldest son was 8, we were having medical issues with his then 2 year old brother. he had this weird thing on his lower right side of  his back (I thoguht it was poision ivy) brought him to the ER they said it was shingles and man oh man was my poor baby in pain. he also only had one chicken pox mark when he was 3 years old so I didn't think he actually had the chicken pox. never did I imagine a 8 year old getting shingles. they said it was stress of his little brother being sick.
I would say if you are having adrenal fatigue have your thyroid checked.
good luck and try not to stress (especailly in your field) so you don't get shingle again
