Diagnosed with dysautonomia in 2005 but having new problems

I have been living with dysautonomia since 2004 diagnosed in 2005.  I am on the general medications used for it.  Midodrine, florinef, and beta blockers.  However the last few weeks I have had continual chest pain that just wont go away.  And I have been seeing a ton of white spots in my vision with blurryness.  The chest pain is right below my heart by my breast bone.  I know I have an atrial flutter but dont know if it could be getting worse since the pain isnt going away.  I have been feeling really crappy lately, extremely tired and exhausted.  This is not like me, I have been doing remarkably well for sometime up till now.  Could someone give me some advice on the chest pain and white blurry spot vision issue I am having?

oh yeah forgot to mention what lead to me to go to hospital.  On tuesday night I was at home still chest was hurting.  Around 9 pm I went completely white as a ghost and when I checked my blood pressure it was 82/54 with a pulse of 49.  Instead of blacking out like I usually do I started throwing up everywhere.  After all that happened the pain increased.  The next morning, yesterday, I called my cardio told him what all happened and he told me to go the the hospital to have some test ran.

went to hospital yesterday was there all day couldnt stand the pain anymore.  Doctor said the pain is in my chest wall.  Some how my rib cage is inflammed and there is brusing on my chest wall.  Not sure how that happened but they put me on some pain meds and said it should start getting better in the next 2-3 days.  That I just need plenty of rest.  So thank god it isnt my heart this time around.

I did talk to them today, they said if the pain gets any worse then to go to the hospital but it has been idle.  They are working out with me a payment scale since I dont work and my husband does I wont have to pay full price if any at all.  I will know tomorrow. I get migraines daily but not usually with the white spots this is something new. Thank you for your advice, have a good night.

I know that no one wants to face the resultant medical bills, but keep in mind that if you feel that things are getting out of hand and it may be an emergency situation, they will treat you at the hospital regardless of your ability to pay.  And if you win on your disability appeal, you may be able to get retroactive payment of your medical bills back to the date that they determine you were disabled.

I do get blurred vision, particularly my peripheral vision.  Exposure to heat/humidity seems to exacerbate this for me.  The only time I see spots, though, is when I get migraine auras, and they're not white spots really.  More like brightly colored shiny things.  Not sure that's very helpful.  :-/

I hope you can see your doctor soon.  Can you put a call in to the on-call cardiologist at the hospital you use and ask about the cardiac symptoms you're having and at least get some advice about whether this is something you need to treat as an emergency or whether these symptoms can wait for an appointment with your doc?

I check my blood pressure daily, I have to since it changes all the time.  Nothing out of sorts has been going on that I am picking up in my readings.  The pain in my chest just will not go away, It use to be only when the atrial flutter was acting out but now this sharp dull pain is just lingering.  It hurts more when I take a breath.  I am trying to get into my cardio to see him about it but with not having insurance anymore I cant get anyone from their office to call me back about payment arrangements.  I got dropped from medicaid and cant get private insurance for I have been labeled with a critical illness and insurance companies wont touch me.  I am going through my appeal for disability now.  If I can get that then I can at least get medicare.  But ya know the states they are in no hurry to do anything.  Every time I get an EKG done it shows that atrial flutter, but the doctor dont want to go in and fix it because it could possibly make things worse.  But at this rate they are gonna have to fix something that is going wrong in my heart.  I know it has been pounding out of my chest like its having a hard time pumping soooo...needless to say I hope someone calls me back TODAY.  As far as my vision goes its weird, I have tunnel vision really bad now and the white spots are more annoying then anything.  I am use to seeing black spots for that was my sign I am hitting the ground for a black out.  So the white spots are a nice change since no blackout are coming from them, but the blurry vision is getting out of hand.  I am guessing that what im typing dont have any typing errors since it is all blending together into one blob right now.  lol. ok no so funny.  well i will let you know if i ever get into the doctor, i just didnt know if someone else has gone through this stage of this condition yet.

Have you checked your blood pressure recently?  I'm wondering if your blood pressure may be higher than usual.  I would defiantly recommend consulting your doctor about the new symptoms you are experiencing though, you may need an EKG to be sure there isn't anything else going on.  Especially with your history of heart rhythm problems.

I experience darkened vision, and double vision from time to time.  Not usually blurring though, nor the white spots you describe.  Perhaps someone else in our community has experienced something similar though.

I hope you feel better soon.
