A standing norepinephrine plasma test is what they look for in POTS.
I've been hypo thyroid for years and I would agree always get the panel (not just TSH) as well as consider antibodies.
As others have said depending on your symptoms I could consider angiotensin II - BUT - have you tested your blood pressure sitting & standing? A drop in pressure standing can confirm a suspicion for Addison's before you do all those expensive tests. My BD is basically the same standing (barely drops a couple points if at all although my heart rate goes up) so they sent me for a host of adrenal blood tests which costed a lot of money and didn't get me any closer to an answer. They did not however test Angiotensin II which acts as an endocrine, autocrine/paracrine, and intracrine hormone so it can have a relationship with thyroid hormones and estrogen. I don't understand the specifics of the relationship, I have just read it exists so I am investigating more myself.
Be sure when you ask for thyroid testing you also get the antibody tests as well as both free T3 and free T4 and TSH.
It sounds like you have found a good resource in this endocrinologist. It is such a relief when you get someone who you can work with who seems extra diligent.
Hope all these tests go well. Marie
Hi There :)
Thanks for writing. I am going for the tests on 11/22 including the Cortisol test. My visit went ok...he's not convinced that he has any other piece to this puzzle but he was willing to try to help...which is all I can ask for. I'll let you know how it went!

Sorry I didn't get to answer this in a timely manner. :-(
The only thing off the top of my head that I would have added to enzymelover's list would have been cortisol/ACTH testing.

Hi! Depending on your symptoms, you might ask for aldosterone, renin, angiotensin II, and dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine. All of these can be done by an endo and all are implicated in various AD symptoms.
Be sure the endo tests all thyroid hormones, not just TSH and T4.
Good luck on Thursday!
