It's my day 2 on Florinef and I fainted today.  How long does this take to start helping because I'm sick of this!

I've fainted 4 times in the past 6 days!  I went home this weekend to visit my mom and I fainted again.  She knew about the autonomic problems but never saw me faint before so she freaked out.  She called 911 and the EMT tested my blood pressure at 82/59 and my heart at 48.  I was very dizzy and thinking very slowly.  At the hospital they gave me an IV and oxygen and some kind of medicine.

My mom is still freaking out and doesn't want me to go back to school.  I'm in college.  I'm an only child, and it's just my mom and me.  I don't want to scare my mom, but I don't know why I'm fainting so much since I never did before this year.  I'm frustrated, and lately I feel like I can barely think straight.

I was on Florinef for about 2 weeks before I started to notice a difference.  From there, things just slowly improved.  Now I only faint 2x per year, with only mild symptoms in between times.

My daughter is on Florinef too.  She said she noticed a difference within a week, but she still has many fainting episodes.  She needs to take all kinds of medicine to control her symptoms.

I'm sorry to hear about your recent fainting episode.  I'm not sure how long it takes for Florinef to start working, but I do hope it starts working for you soon.  If not though, there are other treatment options available.  Remember to keep your fluids up, I hope you feel better soon.
