Minor surgery tomorrow

Hey gang,

I am having some minor outpatient surgery tomorrow. I don't anticipate being away for more than just the day of, except in the unlikely event of complications. I'm a little nervous because it's a different type of anesthesia than I've ever had before, but we went over everything on the phone today so I think they're well prepared for me.

Please keep me in your thoughts. I'll be headed to the hospital in 12 hours,  and hopefully back online tuesday. Have a great monday everyone,

Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers, everyone!!  The anesthesia went well.  They had to give me some extra when it was wearing off in the middle of the procedure (which was close to 4 hours long), but otherwise no issues really.  I'm safe and sound at home now, just very sore.  Being nursed by my doting mother who is patiently supplying fresh ice packs on demand.  :-D  Lovely to have her in from out of town ... almost worth going through surgery for ...  *almost*.  Hehehe.

Trying to sleep through as much of the pain today as I can, and I'll probably resume my normal activities here tomorrow.  Thanks again for being so awesome!

Life is never without its complications, right?

So I ended up having to make a brief detour to the hospital, but I'm back home recovering again. All tanked up now (7 L this time I think). Didn't get much sleep there ... never will understand why they keep you up all night, haha ... so I'll be catching up on zzzzzzzzz's.

I am so glad you caught the glitch post surgery and are once again home with doting mom to help!  The comforts of recovery with caring family about and family pets nearby are not to be underestimated!!  Marie
