Off to Disney - wish me luck ;)

Hi Forum Friends,
Well I'm off to my first vacation since the NCS was diagnosed and got really bad...and it's Disney World of all places!  It's one of our favorite places to be but I'm very nervous about it.  Looks like it's only going to get to 82 degrees which is good and my plan is hydrate, salt, eat and rest!  I'm usually so excited but I'm just nervous and tired this time.  I'll have the computer so I'll let you know how I do.  I'm hoping not to need any kind of transportation help like a wheelchair or jazzy or something!  I know the place like the back of my hand so I should be able to rest when I need to...we'll see how the NCS Disney experience goes!

stephanie you dont need any proof at all, just find guest services go inside the first park you go to and tell them you have need a pass, you have a condition, explain briefly (most times they dont ask) where you faint, dizzy etc - they are usually so good about it.

We've done the pass with our son who is Autistic - last month we went and I went in and told them it was for me =)

Thank you everyone!  I will definitely post some pics.   I definitely feel fortunate that a cool spell is going on.  We've been there at the same time of year and it was in the 90's.

Lisa- what kind of proof do you need to get a medical pass?  I don't have a medic alert bracelet or anything.  Just my midodrin prescription bottle with me.

You picked a great week to come to the "Mousehouse"....its actually cool here in sunny Fl and downright chilly for us natives and nights are supposed to stay cool!
Enjoy your vacation, you know the place (having had annual passes that is over 1/2 the battle in my opinion), and take time to have a nice tea at the Grand Floridian, my favorite thing to do there!

Hope you have a wonderful time!  Think your plan is a good solid one.
Liked Lisa's of getting the medical pass.  Think that very important to avoid the long lines.  Also think knowing you have other options like a wheelchair if needed is a good back-up.

Enjoy!  Marie

have fun stephanie...my daughter and her b/f is there this wknd - they said it's great and the humidity is so low it doesn't feel like FL hehehe

remember to stop by guest services and ask for a medical pass - tell them you have problems, like you faint, can't stand in lines etc you'll get to go in the fast pass lane at most of the parks - once you get it for one park - they can validate it for the rest of your stay - saving you time =)

this is the first year in 13 years we haven't had annual passes, I'm SO jealous lol j/k... but I'll get back where I can go again one day..hot chocolate at downtown disney at night in the cold sitting watching some of the people perform is one of our favorite family memories =)
